Boulderlamp Introduces VioShield Series Storage Containers for Food, Cannabis, and Healthcare
Boulderlamp, a leader in innovative LED grow lights, is set to unveil its patent-pending VioShield series storage containers at the 13th annual MJBIZCon. The VioShield offers an effective, non-UV LED light solution to pathogen control for applications in food, cannabis, and healthcare.
Made of durable, aluminum-clad printed circuit boards, VioShield series storage container lids use 405 nm violet light to produce reactive oxygen species (ROS) in microbial cells. Similar to bleach in its effects, this ROS buildup effectively inhibits bacteria, fungi, yeast, and mold without UV light’s harmful side effects.
Eliminates Mold:
Aspergillus, a common Mold is a widespread issue in legal cannabis products. Cannabis stored
with VioShield light helps to reduce mold growth. Also,
the light prevents mold formation and growth if mold is absent before exposure.

UV exposure is known to degrade cannabis potency, while VioShield’s 405 nm wavelength
preserves the natural quality and integrity. Research further indicates that 405 nm light exposure
can improve stored strawberries’ quality and increase vitamin C levels in stored cabbage.

VioShield series lids are available in circular, rectangular, and oval shapes to fit a range of containers, from Mason jars and cooking pots to cannabis storage totes and even shoe cabinets. They can also be mounted under cabinets or placed over food trays for broad-spectrum antimicrobial protection.
