Beau Whitney is the founder of Whitney Economics and serves as a director for Mantis Growth Investments. Whitney’s professional experience encompasses business operations and supply chain successes from Intel and TriQuint Semiconductor, where he oversaw scale amplification for semiconductors and modules to address the rapidly growing supply demands of the global mobile device market. Applying his supply chain expertise to the cannabis industry, Whitney has designed and implemented efficiencies into the cultivation, extraction, edible manufacturing, wholesale and retail distribution operations of a vertically integrated cannabis operation. In 2017, Whitney was the first person to present about the cannabis supply chain to global leaders at a prestigious annual conference of supply chain managers. Whitney is a member of the American Economic Association, the Oregon chapter President of the National Association of Business Economics and participates on the Oregon Governor’s Council of Economic Advisors. He has provided policy recommendations at the state, national and international levels and is considered an authority on cannabis economics.
