David Meiri

Head, Laboratory of Cancer Research, Technion Israel Institute of Technology

David leads the 45-person Laboratory of Cancer Biology and Cannabinoid Research in Haifa, Israel. The highly trained team of plant biologists, chemists, cancer experts and neuroscientists investigate the therapeutic potential of cannabinoids on autoimmune diseases, Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy, sleep disorders and the plant’s potential to prevent and fight tumors. David is a member of several committees overseen by the Israeli Ministry of Health. He holds a Ph.D. from Tel Aviv University and conducted his post-doctoral fellowship at the Ontario Cancer Institute, where he focused on the role of a protein in tumor invasion and metastasis.
