David is the founder and principal for GRA Capital, which invests in U.S. and foreign private and public cannabis companies with a focus on operators, brands and global supply chain. David is also an attorney who has been studying and investing within the cannabis space since 2016. David also is a member of the US Senate Cannabis Working Group and the US House of Representatives Cannabis Working Group. In these roles, he works with senior Congressional staffers on advancing federal cannabis legislation. Prior to David’s involvement in the cannabis industry, he represented foreign government and major corporate clients in high-stakes complex cross-border disputes and transactions while working in the New York office of the global law firm, DLA Piper.
