Under Cornelius’ guidance, Berlin-based Demecan and Canadian partner Wayland, a licensed producer, won a tender for a cannabis cultivation license in Germany. Cornelius, who was an assistant professor for business administration at the University of Hagen in Germany before founding Demecan, believes smart regulation of medical cannabis will enable the development of a pharmaceutical product that will be widely accepted by physicians, patients and society as a whole.
