Pierre is a scientist with more than 25 years of academic research experience with genetic engineering, stem cell biology, somatic cell reprogramming and the endocannabinoid system. In 2015, he co-founded MedCann with the goal of producing cannabis medicines and supporting clinical research in Germany. By the end of July 2016, MedCann had successfully imported medical cannabis from Canada and started distribution to German Pharmacies. Canopy Growth acquired MedCann in late 2016, and Pierre now serves as Canopy’s managing director for Europe.
