After a four-year stint with the Marines and an honorable discharge, Hunter relied on his military background to start a marijuana security firm in 2013. His Denver-based company has trained 250-plus military veterans in Colorado and California to provide security services for the marijuana companies. Hunter also has served the past three years as managing director of General Cannabis Corp., which offers services such as security, branding, consulting, business development and capital solutions to the cannabis sector.
