In December 2017 Tripp stepped down as CEO of Dixie Bands to assume the role of managing director of business development for B. R. Brands, an affiliate of Bold Rose Capital, also a strategic investor partner in Dixie. Tripp oversees and guides private equity investments for the firm in the cannabis industry. As CEO of Dixie he was responsible for licensing, branding and expansion efforts domestically and internationally. Previously, he worked in real estate development.
