Under Mitch’s direction, the New York-based, marijuana-centric private equity firm has become a leading investor in cannabis companies that include Freedom Leaf, GrowGeneration, KushCo, New Frontier Data and Steep Hill Labs. Since entering the legal marijuana sector nine years ago, he has played a key role in roughly $250 million in transactions, including helping Colorado cannabis cultivators structure state-legal capital deals and establish business strategies. Mitch also has helped found marijuana companies in Connecticut (Theraplant), Minnesota (Leafline Labs) and Maryland (Grow West MD).
