Skirmantas founded Agropro, a hemp seed contracting and processing company, in Lithuania in 2013 using his own capital and skills to negotiate a joint venture with the largest hemp farming operator in the Baltic states. Skirmantas also co-founded Borela, a hemp grain processor and distributor. Both companies were acquired in 2018 by Aurora Cannabis, one of Canada’s top marijuana firms. Skirmantas played a key role in implementing change to the legal framework for hemp farming and processing in Lithuania.
