Showing up for the cannabis community is what we do. For over a decade, MJBizCon has served as the cornerstone of the cannabis business world, and now, amid a shifting global landscape, we’re leaning in even further. Our presence isn’t about simply “going global.” It’s about showing up intentionally in rooms where cannabis futures are being debated, policies are being shaped, and partnerships are being formed. This year, as Flower Power anchors our belief in the resilience and renewal of the cannabis community, our commitment to meaningful collaboration has never felt more urgent.
Why Global?
The cannabis industry is at a crossroads. In the U.S., we’re weathering a tough cycle—regulatory uncertainty, market saturation, and capital crunches continue to challenge even the most seasoned operators. Globally, however, there are signs of forward movement: from Germany’s legalization steps to increasing conversations across the European Union and LATAM markets. In this climate, it’s not enough to watch from afar. We believe being part of the global conversation means listening, contributing, and learning. Over the past season, our team joined two major international gatherings: Mary Jane Berlin 2025 and ICBC Berlin, each offering a unique lens into how the global cannabis economy is taking shape. Our goal wasn’t just to be seen—it was to be useful.
Mary Jane Berlin
At Mary Jane Berlin 2025, Harrison Radie, VP of Sales & Partnerships at MJBizCon helped bridge the gap between the U.S. and European cannabis markets through two key sessions. Berlin’s Mary Jane conference is a celebration of cannabis culture and commerce. At this year’s event, MJBiz helped bridge the gap between the U.S. and European markets through strategic content and curated dialogue. Harrison Radie, our VP of Sales & Partnerships, moderated a Prohibition Partners–produced panel that spotlighted lessons learned from U.S. cannabis retail. The session brought together operators from both sides of the Atlantic to tackle hard questions:
- How do you scale sustainably?
- What regulatory pitfalls can Europe avoid?
- Where do consumer preferences converge—and where do they differ?
Later, Harrison led a workshop focused on the evolving U.S. market. From shifting consumption behaviors to the regional hotspots still offering growth, attendees gained insights rooted in operational experience, not theory. These conversations weren’t just informative—they were connective, showing how cross-market learning can serve everyone navigating legalization’s complexities.
ICBC Berlin
In Germany, cannabis reform isn’t a headline, it’s a movement. This spring, over 5,000 stakeholders convened at ICBC Berlin, now one of Europe’s leading forums for cannabis business and policy. For MJBiz, this was more than another stop on the calendar. It was a chance to activate our network and deepen global ties. On April 30, we hosted a private MJBizConnect VIP gathering for vetted executives shaping the future of cannabis across Europe, North America, and beyond.
With leaders like Emilie Lewis, Elkin Rodriguez, and Harrison Radie on hand, the event wasn’t just about exchanging business cards. It was about building trust. We created space for nuanced conversation, strategic collaboration, and long-term thinking—something the industry desperately needs as it grows up on the world stage. Germany’s legislative momentum—now allowing commercial sale of seeds and clones, with broader commerce infrastructure on the way—signals that Europe is entering a new phase. But progress isn’t inevitable. It will take smart partnerships, cross-border learning, and a strong foundation of shared values. That’s where MJBiz shows up.

What This Means for Our Global Cannabis Events
You might ask: Why does MJBiz’s presence in Europe matter to a cultivator in California or a brand in Colorado?
Because what happens globally will impact the domestic market. Trade, policy, investment, and cultural influence are increasingly borderless. When we bring insights from Berlin back to our stages in Las Vegas, it strengthens our community’s readiness. When we facilitate global executive introductions, we spark innovation that can ripple across markets. When we advocate for smart growth abroad, we reinforce the legitimacy of cannabis as a global industry—not just a niche movement.
Our engagement in these international spaces isn’t about planting a flag. It’s about planting seeds—for collaboration, for shared knowledge, and for the collective evolution of our industry.
Flower Power, Worldwide
We truly believe in the power of resilience, relationships, and rootedness. “Flower Power” is more than a theme—it’s a call to re-center on the core values that built this industry: community, care, and connection. As we expand globally, we carry that ethos with us. We show up not just as observers, but as co-creators. We listen before we lead. We offer support, not just visibility. To put it in the words of our VP, Emilie Lewis:
Flower Power means standing tall through every season—especially the hard ones. When we show up globally, we’re not chasing trends. We’re helping cultivate the future of cannabis with the same intention, compassion, and community care that brought us here in the first place.
What’s Next
From Berlin to wherever cannabis progress is taking root, MJBiz will continue to be a trusted connector and advocate. We’re committed to expanding the MJBiz Network not just in size, but in scope—welcoming more voices, diverse perspectives, and international collaboration. The world is watching cannabis. We’re making sure the right people are in the room—and that our community back home gets to benefit from every step forward. So whether you’re walking the expo floor at MJBizCon this fall or tuning in from across the ocean, know this: our mission remains the same. To connect, inform, and empower the cannabis business community—wherever it grows.
