Introducing the Indigenous Cannabis Village at MJBizCon
The Indigenous Cannabis Village initiative in partnership with the Indigenous Cannabis Industry Association (ICIA) offers a dedicated space on the show floor, fostering economic empowerment, cultural storytelling, and industry advocacy designed to inspire, connect, educate, and spotlight varied voices while supporting pathways for long-term success across Tribal Nations and Indigenous communities.
“The Indigenous Cannabis Industry Association is excited to collaborate with the MJBizCon family to activate the first ever Indigenous Cannabis Village this winter. This event will not only be an opportunity to celebrate the hard work and dedication that our communities have accomplished to restore plant medicine; it also sets a stage moving forward that our gifts as healers and traditional knowledge keepers continues to thrive in the bloodlines of contemporary Indigenous peoples across the globe. As we advance the notion of Tribal cannabis sovereignty, we are also creating a new paradigm of people embracing the concept of personal sovereignty and the basic human right of all people to heal themselves with nature,” said Mary Jane Oatman, Executive Director, COO, Indigenous Cannabis Industry Association. “The beauty of convening at the 2025 MJBizCon Indigenous Cannabis Village is the intentionality our teams have cultivated- to honor the past and plan for the future.”
“MJBizCon is honored to partner with ICIA to better spotlight Indigenous entrepreneurs and brands. By creating this platform, our goal is better sustainable participation in the cannabis economy for all — one rooted in equity and respect,” stated Emilie Lewis, Senior Vice President, MJBiz Brand Leader.
