AE Global (AEG) is returning to MJBizCon as the official Sustainability Sponsor, continuing its mission to advance environmental responsibility across the cannabis supply chain. Through its flagship TalkTrash program, AEG will once again turn the Las Vegas Convention Center into a real-time case study in sustainable packaging and smarter waste management.
MJBizCon—the world’s largest cannabis industry gathering—takes place December 2–5, 2025, drawing thousands of professionals from across the globe. Every trash, recycling, and compost bin at the show will feature TalkTrash branding and educational messaging, prompting engagement right when waste is at the forefront. Visitors will also encounter interactive activations, including life-sized motorized exhibits demonstrating the functionality of AEG’s innovative EZ-Lock packaging.
Making a Measurable Impact
TalkTrash isn’t just an awareness campaign—it directly funds the collection of ocean-bound plastic. The recovered material is processed into pellets and reintroduced into the supply chain, giving consumer packaged goods brands a simple, turnkey path to sustainability.
As of July 31, 2025, AE Global—working with rePurpose Global—has removed more than 439,000 pounds of ocean-bound plastic from the environment. That’s the equivalent of more than 9.6 million 16oz water bottles kept out of the ocean.
“In the year since we last met in Las Vegas, the call for sustainable packaging solutions has only grown stronger,” said Mike Forenza, CEO of AE Global. “Stakeholders are recognizing that sustainability isn’t just good for the planet—it’s good for business. Tangible sustainable solutions are being demanded by customers. As MJBizCon’s official Sustainability Sponsor, we’re building on that momentum and helping companies implement solutions that make a measurable difference without compromising quality or cost.”
Education, Engagement, and “Trash-Talking”
Beyond the bins and exhibits, AEG will host “trash-talking” sessions at its booth—offering attendees actionable strategies to implement certified plastic-negative packaging in their own businesses. The company is also actively inviting additional brand partners to join the TalkTrash movement and help expand its global impact.
MJBiz leaders emphasized the importance of integrating sustainability into the event experience. “Environmental responsibility isn’t optional—it’s a core business imperative,” said Emilie Lewis, SVP and Brand Leader at MJBiz. “The TalkTrash program is a creative, effective way to engage our community and drive real-world change.”
