SVP of Government Relations & PolicyUS Cannabis RoundtableDavid Mangone, J.D., serves as the Senior Vice President for Policy and Government Affairs for the U.S. Cannabis Roundtable (USCR), where he leads the organization’s federal policy strategy on behalf of the nation’s leading state-legal cannabis operators. In this role, he works closely with Congress, federal agencies, and industry stakeholders to advance key priorities including cannabis rescheduling, access to financial services, tax reform, and sensible federal regulation. A recognized authority on cannabis policy, Mangone brings a pragmatic, bipartisan, and evidence-based approach to shaping federal cannabis reform during a pivotal period for the industry.
Before his role at USCR, David worked with cannabis lobbying firm the Liaison Group and he also served as the Director of Government Affairs & Counsel for Americans for Safe Access, the nation’s largest nonprofit representing medical cannabis patients. David has also worked as a Legislative Fellow for a senior Democratic member of Congress on the House Ways & Means Committee and as an attorney in private practice.
David received his Juris Doctorate from the Charleston School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Wake Forest University.
