His career began in 2015 as CEO of a vertically integrated cannabis company in Colorado, where he gained extensive industry knowledge. He later co-founded a specialty child-resistant cannabis packaging business, serving as CEO and leading the company to a successful exit in 2022.
Currently, as Managing Partner of CannaBIZ Collects, the nation’s first and leading cannabis collection agency, Brett leverages his expertise to help cannabis businesses navigate the complex legal and financial landscape related to credit and collections.
Brett is also the founder of the Cannabiz Credit Association, the first cannabis trade credit group providing risk monitoring and credit assessments to the industry, helping cannabis companies make informed decisions and manage financial risk.
He has presented at dozens of tradeshows and panels, including MjBiz 2024 and MjBiz 2025.
With a BBA in Finance from The University of Georgia, Brett combines business acumen and financial expertise in his work. Passionate about driving innovation and better business practices, he continues to explore new opportunities and mentor aspiring entrepreneurs from his home base in St. Petersburg, FL.
